Kim Collins is getting frustrated with her life, her marriage, herself when she takes a fated plane ride. Her seatmate on the flight is Tori Moorhead, a pregnant teenager on her way to have an abortion. The two are among those able to walk away when the plane goes down and burns. The shared experience connects their lives as survivors and as caring human beings.

The author uses the plane crash as a catalyst to help Kim and her husband Steve bring the lust and love back into their lives. Ms. Craver gently shows us how the two had lost touch with each other through the pressures of everyday life. She then goes step by step using the aftermath of the crash and other challenges to show how they relearn the communication that is vital to their lives and the decisions both want to make for their future.

This writer builds Tori and Ryan, the father of her baby, into an excellent teen relationship. She shows the struggle they go through to learn trust and build a relationship that has a future after a momentary weakness makes them responsible for another life. Their decision making as individuals for themselves grows into a couple making choices that are best for both of them.

I think Ms. Craver does an excellent job of showing how real people can cope with support of their friends and family. Eric, Tori’s dad who‘s been in a wheelchair for seven years, Gaby, Kim and Steve’s daughter, Ryan’s parents, so many people are able to grow under this author’s positive and optimistic pen. I can’t say enough about what a great love story this is.
