| Ares, God of War, has his hands full. With gathering followers, preparing for world domination, tracking down a wayward Mother Nature, and gaining the trust of a headstrong woman wielding untamed powers, Ares' priorities are torn. His subordinates can handle much of the duties while he's busy wooing Desi. Yet, he's a God; he can have anyone at anytime and he has before. These new feelings are interfering with his well-laid plans. What is it that draws him, calls to him, and makes him want her? Ares knows. He's in love. No woman has ever enraptured his soul, until now.
Nature's Whim has a plot that moves as quickly as its characters. From loving, to fighting, and back again, the twists just keep on coming. de Chevigny brilliantly portrays the design of a strong woman in Desi. Her character is bold, daring, beautiful, and powerful. I found myself chuckling while the relationship Desi and Ares try so desperately to deny unfolded. Their interaction is as realistic as it is charming. Between two stubborn leads, it's hard to yield, and this story exemplifies this common struggle many women face. If you're seeking empowerment or a quick, cute romance, Nature's Whim is for you.
