Deidre wishing to restore the stone to its rightful place goes on a search that leads her to Scotland. There she finds herself alone separated from her traveling party. She is attacked and saved from ravishment by a handsome man who introduces himself as Gilead who then takes her to the safety of his home.

Gilead does not believe the story Deidre gives for being found alone on his family’s land. This leads him to believe she may be a spy. He will watch her and learn the truth, all the while fighting the overwhelming desire he feels growing. He refuses to ever bind himself to a woman having witnessed what that does to a man but Deidre makes him feel something he has never experienced.

Things go from bad to worse when Gilead’s father arranges for her to marry a cruel man for benefit of his clan. Deidre is finding it hard to look for the stone while trying to avoid be attacked by her betrothed. She must find a way to escape and continue her search. Her only wish is that things could be different and she could give into her feelings for Gilead, her noble knight.

My Noble Knight is a fascinating historical romance that takes the reader back in time to a medieval setting filled with exciting action and intrigue. This story quickly snares the readers’ attention and holds them captive to the end with its wonderful story of passion. This is a story that shows how one character’s greed upsets the lives of so many. Manipulation and intrigue builds a mystery around this person and what he will do next. This is a dangerous time of unrest, where some are willing to do anything to obtain that which they desire. Readers will find themselves becoming a part of this fast paced story as they learn who they can and can not trust.

Deidre is a character that readers will attach to as her story unfolds. She is a feisty head strong woman that knows what she wants and goes about getting it. She is willing to try and face down those that stand in her way. But she is also a sensitive and vulnerable character that can easily have her heart broken. This is a character that readers will admire and stand behind as they hope she succeeds in her goals.

Gilead is the handsome hero of the story that comes to Deidre’s rescue in the beginning. His handsome good looks and the fair way he treats others makes him the perfect man for Deidre but he has some confusing notions about love. For such a strong character he believes that love is a weakness that he cannot afford. He has his reasons that the readers will come to understand. His story touches the heart of the readers and leaves them sad for what he has experienced.

Readers can look forward to many hot and steamy scenes as men and women come together in this story. Explicitly detailed scenes of heated passion are described to stimulate the readers’ imagination showing that not all the characters’ time is spent worrying about war and acquisition. Beautifully written these scenes help to enforce the feelings that exist between the different characters.

History comes to live in this story and readers are sure to enjoy their trip back in time. This highly imaginative creative story is filled with magic and this fantasy aspect of the story adds to the readers’ enjoyment. This is a story within a story which will be better understood when everything is explained in the end. Readers are in for a few wondrous surprises and are encouraged to add My Noble Knight by Cynthia Breeding to their list of books to read.
