Cameron Paradise, a 24-year-old beautiful woman, ran away from an abusive husband and, arriving in L.A., went to work with a vengeance. She worked as a personal trainer and her life was totally focused on saving enough money to open her own fitness center. The husband she left behind in Hawaii almost never crossed her mind.

Through her business contacts, Cameron met three typical Hollywood couples, a Russian ex-prostitute, a couple of gay co-workers, and a pitiful TV actress who was painfully, publicly dumped by her husband. Cameron had no intention of becoming one of the “in crowds.” She just wanted to make money keeping them in perfect shape. When she met Ryan Lambert, she was mesmerized. No one knew she was married but the whole world knew he was. That didn’t stop the sparks from flying whenever their eyes met.

In true Jackie Collins fashion, this story covered a vast locale with a myriad of characters. She has once again shown us another glimpse into the privileged life of Hollywood. This book gives us more of what we’ve come to expect from Ms. Collins’ work. The storyline was woven together so that the reader is constantly being taken from a scene with one of the major players and given a glance into another part of the story.

The plot flows beautifully and the entire manuscript, though quite lengthy, seemed to be seamless and I could not put it down. As in other of her works that I’ve read, she tells her story flawlessly as if she was literally sitting in front of a group sharing her scoop. Her characters are so vivid that it actually seemed they were alive. There were many important players, but there was no problem keeping them straight. The various actions just complimented each other and endeared the story more. There were poignant parts which captivated me. The ending was not what I was expecting.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the rich and famous. I loved it and cannot wait for her next endeavor.
