| Heather MacGibbon is traveling from England to Jamaica with her new husband. A husband she hates because of his greed and cruelty.
When a ship is spotted near them, Heather knowing what becomes of females captured by pirates, decides to disguise herself as a male. During a confrontation. Heather’s husband Roger Parnell is killed. Adam Langworth captain of the Devil’s Horde was having problems of his own. He discovers the true identity of Heather but is unable to share the facts with the rest of the crew. When it is discovered that he knew and kept it a secret it is voted that both Heather and he be marooned. Left with a jug of water apiece and a pistol how will they ever survive so far from anything? Marooned by Lyndi Lamont is a sexy historical with an added touch of magic that makes for an exciting romance. The story takes place in 1718 during a time when men were known for the love of games. The fact that Heather’s father loses everything to an unscrupulous man such as Roger helps to establish the setting and realism of the era. The little action in this story is exciting and filled with thrills. The scenes come to life and are easily imaginable. Roger is detestable and readers will cheer when he gets what he deserves. Heather is also a very interesting character. She is naïve but a quick learner. She is very passionate and she puts her whole heart into pleasing her lover. The scenes between Adam and Heather are extremely sexy. It is surprising how fast Heather goes from someone that hates and fears being with a man to being so enthusiastic when being with Adam. But then Adam is described as every woman’s dream. Adam is a sexy and skilled lover. He makes a point in making his partner happy. He is everything a woman could want in a fantasy lover. Together this pair has the reader hoping for a happy-ever–after in their future and with just a little bit of magic they may get their wish. Marooned is a delightfully sexy historical fantasy with a touch of magic that will leave the reader wishing for their own pirate lover. I highly recommend this to the readers that enjoy historical fantasy.
