Sergeant A.J. Turner was a marine. He came from a family where the men went to protect and serve. After his tour was over, he returned to the Wyoming and decided to become a cowboy, working his ranch. Upon leaving, his captain had suggested all the men in the unit try an online service for a one night stand when they got home. The captain felt it would be a good way to ease the mind and relax. A.J. wasn’t too grand on the idea, but decided to give it a try. Sheri Vaughn works as a librarian, and dreams of meeting that one person to share in her life. When she is able to share in with an online one night stand, she gives it a try. A.J. and Sheri see each other once, and both secretly hope they could share the date together. When they discover each other as the one night stand, they are more than elated. Could this be more than a one night stand for both of them? Only time can tell.
The Marine Cowboy is a most delightful read. This reader thought the characters were indeed well-developed and loved the description of each. The way A.J. spoke practically carried the soft sound of his voice right off the pages. The chemistry is hot, searing like a hot torch, allowing fantasies to come to life threefold and more, for the couple. Heather Long pens the story in a way to pull in the audience into a story of two people, with a lingering past that has a way of bringing them closer together. The story felt genuine, the people held a connection, and even the voices soared into a charismatic read that still lingers in this reader's mind.
