This book introduced Justin Collet and Pearl MacInray as the main characters in a fast-paced sensuous tale about two long-time friends who were destined to become more. The two were very close friends, even confidants. Pearl always visited Justin when she felt deserted. Her latest boyfriend, Andrew Dickens, had given her a string of pearls and told her he was marrying someone else.

Pearl had been poor throughout her childhood and was determined that she would not go through poverty again. Even though Justin was her best friend, he was a mechanic and lived in an apartment. He was happy to wear jeans and tee-shirts. He would never be rich. She had to keep searching.

Ms. Shelley Munro took these two characters and a night of hot, steamy sex to explore their feelings for each other and whether or not they could pursue a relationship with each other. While the plot was not especially new, the storyline had a slant which kept the tale fresh and explosive. The surprise at the end created just the perfect conclusion.

These two people were close. The fact of their exploratory sexual actions was not a surprise. The sexual activity was extensive and smoking. The language was explicit and graphic, but it was not offensive.

I enjoyed the story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys contemporary erotic romance. You will be glad that this is not for the faint of heart.
