The last thing Carson Merrill expected that day was for Jessica Tate to show up. After all, she’d been gone over a year without a phone call, visit or any communication. Now she had returned with one thing in mind—she wanted to buy his ranch and develop it into smaller real estate projects. She reminded Carson that, not only had she left him, but his parents were both gone, and his brothers all had other interests. Jessica had no idea her brother James was working with Carson. He had come to know God and his life was completely different. When he had his accident Jessica couldn’t forgive Carson for his part in the handicap that left James in a wheelchair. Once again, Ms. Mary Manners has written another page-turner which grabbed me at the first page and didn’t turn me loose even at the end. The fact that this is #1 in a promising series is exciting to me. This series started with a totally different look at ranch life and love lost but never forgotten. The main characters, as well as the secondary ones, have major likeability issues. The believability factor flows throughout all the other parts of the story. The issue of inspiration was handled well and would not insult anyone. Manners wrote a book that is great reading for all ages. The manner in which Ms. Manners presented her storyline is unique and a wonderful work to read. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the future series. You will see why Ms. Manners is on my “must-read” list of authors. Overall rating:
