| Black Lion is not Lakota by birth, but comes from farther north. The saying goes that a village was responsible for killing the children of the Thunder God. Because of this action, the village was banished to live a half existence in the land of mists; no one being alive or dead. Thus within the generation one wise brave could save his clan. The Warrior has all the right elements to make the story full of romance, passion, intrigue and inspiration to keep the reader enlightened and entertained. I enjoyed the blossoming love of Black Lion and Suzette and how everything develops between them. To me, they have a very powerful love story to last throughout all ages. Karen Kay spins one last Lost Clan saga that is electrifying. She allows her characters to be vulnerable and most convincing while putting them in a fast-paced storyline that doesn’t lose the reader. I enjoyed the way she blended in the setting in this unforgettable tale. A delightful and enchanting read that will always remain in the heart of this reader.
