Shane didn’t ever believe he’d fall in love, until he met Kelly. New hope has grown in his heart right along with love for the woman he couldn’t live without. Too soon, his life is thrown into turmoil when a terrible accident claims the life of Kelly.

Needing to get away, Shane hops on his Iron Horse and hits the open road. Little does he know this journey will change his life in ways he never expected. When he comes across an old fashioned encampment of Native Americans, he doesn’t expect the turn of events that fate has in store for him.

Tia is in grieving for the husband she lost almost a year ago. Her love for Danti fills her as she faces the idea of being forced to marry another. The white man who has stumbled across their camp intrigues her.

As Tia grows closer to Shane, they agree that there is only one thing they can do, but will they be successful?

Iron Horse Rider is a great story of loss and hope. I found myself taken in by this story and couldn’t wait to read more. The characters were very real as were the emotions portrayed by them. I think Ms. Laudan captures the feeling of grief and tentative hope so well in a great read that you won’t want to put down. I do hope that Ms. Laudan has plans to write a sequel to this great story.
