Author Myla Jackson has superbly created enchanting characters, an adventurous plot with a historical setting that will delight the reader. From the very first page the author has a wonderful way of pulling together enticing adventure, constant surprises and a deep burning passion to make this story a spine-tingling read that really shouldn't be missed. The great pacing and well-rounded characterization that are rich and multi-layered ensure that the sizzling danger, passion and touches of humor leap from the pages. The hesitant and erotic passion between Zach and Jack is deeply sensual and with Honor added to the sinfully delightful loving sparks of desire enflame the lovers while the emotionally charged passion is deep-seated.

Zach, Jake and Honor are extraordinary and unforgettable characters who will steal the reader's hearts. These well-rounded characters are fully of energy and heat. The dialogue is sharp and realistic holding true to the historical time period. The witty verbal sparring between Zach, Jake and Honor leads to several hot and explicit sex scenes as well as some laugh-out-loud ones. The steamy chemistry and the intensity of emotions between Honor and Zach create a special bond that is irresistible and real. Although the danger to Honor is quickly staunched the innovative twist adds an additional connection to the bond between the lovers. The ménage scenes are deliciously hot although they focus mainly on Zach and Jake loving Honor.

I can't wait to see what the author has in store for readers with her second book in this series!
