| Divorced Australian scientist Kyla Harris invented a type of cologne while taking a year off. The cologne was supposed to eliminate body odor. Instead the cologne turned out to be an aphrodisiac, something the government could use as a war strategy. Bound by the Government Secrets Act, anything Kyla invents has to be given to her boss, the government.
When Logan Matthews, a CIA agent, met and discovered what Kyla Harris was up to, and then he discovered that someone was trying to steal it, he knew he had to contact his boss. The orders he receives are crystal clear. He has to become Kyla’s bodyguard. Chemistry reacts between them when Kyla thinks she’s putting her cologne to good use. The sizzle between them is undeniable. Kyla wonders how long it would last once the aphrodisiac was no longer functional. Will she discover just what type of aphrodisiac marshals Logan’s senses? Humorous doesn’t describe how amusingly comical the novel starts out. I mean redneck funny. The characters are wonderfully written. Even Kyla’s friend Lisa and drunken weirdos take their place nicely. Some characters like Kyla, Logan, and Lisa you find easy to love and some like her ex, an officer, and the drunken weirdos you don't like at all. Kyla and Logan do a pretty good job of dealing with them. The humor is a wonderful part of the novel with a mix of adventure and action intertwined with several episodes of sex. The sex scenes are very nicely descriptive and brilliantly played out. The lovers certainly do let the sparks soar. The novel flows wonderfully and is very sensual, somewhat lingering on explicit. Kyla and Logan come from two different parts of the world yet the humor and passion helped in one completes the one another nicely.
