Jane Ellingson suffers from a broken heart that nothing can fix, not even her favorite coffee shop. She no longer has her great job, a best friend, or even a fiancé. She would love to restart her life. When she happens upon a stone that can give her a merry wish, she decides to take a second chance and see what the stone can offer. In no time, Jane is transported into Victorian England, wearing a corset, long dress, and greeted by the handsome Curran Dempsey, whom she becomes quite smitten with. Of course trying to get use to not having the modern conveniences may take some getting use to; then again, Curran has a way of helping her to forget the luxuries she left behind. Her day seems to get better when she finds herself as an author creating a great novel in which to live. Whether to stay in the past with Curran or spring forth to the present is something only the writer in her knows for sure.

His and Hers is a must read. There were so many parts that were just down right fun. I found Jane a delightful person whom I would love to take on a trip anywhere. One can get a feel of her life when so much disaster hits her in one day then to find a magic stone really adds an advantage. Just reading about her ups and downs, and visualizing her in all these mishaps made the story even more enjoyable. Dawn Calvert spins a stunning tale that is truly enlightening. She makes her characters believable and crafts them in a way that the reader gets to be a part of their experiences. I could feel Jane’s dilemma at every turn. This is one book that is a keeper.
