Blake Caldwell was a Hollywood producer struggling to make a name for himself. His assistant, Jillian Baker, had helped that cause immensely. His well-known mother, Barbara Branton, was an actress whose name continuously came up when Blake would try to succeed. As the entire crew stood along the sidelines watching the fiasco, Blake’s hard work and intense planning was threatened. His first night’s filming (live) for his up-and-coming reality show, Girl of My Dreams, was seriously jeopardized.

Half his crew and most of his female contestants were suffering from food poisoning. His show pitted one millionaire, Troy Langley, against twenty-five beautiful women. As she took a final count, Jillian realized that they were short one more female contestant. Blake asked her to handle it as she had taken care of details for three years. The only substitute she could find was herself. Since she worked for a temporary agency and not the production company, she was technically not eliminated from the contest.

Blake had much resentment against his mother and father. His mother was constantly seen with her male co-workers. His father spent his time making excuses and following his wife around the country. Blake had no respect for his father and no love for his mother. The plot offered by Ms. Morgan Mandel is fresh, exciting and one that will definitely keep readers’ attention.

These characters were bold and diverse. The resentments between the females was apparent and, at times, laughable. The twenty-five different personalities, in addition to the millionaire Troy, were so memorable that it flowed from one fiasco to another. In addition to the cast for the show, Blake had a myriad of problems replacing Jillian. The author has used her sense of humor, as well as her sense of adventure, to present the storyline. The situations are diverse so that when a surprise action exploded, it was a shock. The way Blake, Jillian and Troy dealt with each other was extremely well written.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Cinderella Story and discovering the way Ms. Mandel delivered her story. I highly recommend that you read it for an easy, fun-filled story.
