When Kate Reynolds learns that her brother has been hurt in a plane accident, she makes a mad dash to be by his side at the hospital. The moment she realises her brother may never come out of the coma he's in, she sets herself a mission of finding out what went wrong and why.

Everett Larsen receives a harrowing phone call from an old army buddy not long before he learns that friend has been in a plane accident. As an undercover DEA agent, Everett knows his friend had something important to tell him and when he sets out to investigate, he soon finds himself wanting to protect his friend's sister -- a woman who has her heart set on learning what happened to her brother.

This was a very thrill-seeking novel with plenty of twists that kept me reading until I was at the end of the book. The plot was fascinating from the very start with the plane accident involving Kate's brother and had me anticipating every page to read what happened next. As for the dialogue, it was highly emotional from the heroine's side with her concern for her brother's well-being and intense from the hero's point of view as he tried his best to protect Kate as well as learn what happened to her brother. The sex scenes were perfect, and revealed the great chemistry the heroine and hero had. What I liked so much about Kate was her determination to find out the truth of her brother's accident. While with Everett, I liked how determined he was to protect Kate and see that the person responsible for her brother's accident was put to justice.

In conclusion, Ms. Rae has done a marvellous job of writing this novel that had everything a romantic suspense novel should have -- action, adventure, plenty of romance and a heap of suspense. Well done to this author.
