Claire is on the run, hiding from her overbearing father. She decides to go back to the one place she tasted freedom. The one place she was allowed to be herself and to find love. Castle Cove. Believing her former love to be in prison she starts up her own gallery only to find out that the owner of the construction company building her gallery, is her former love, Cade Watts. Cade doesn’t want to fall under her control again only to have his life ruined once more.

If you enjoy a story where a past love is reunited, then this is the story for you. Both characters were being controlled and forced to split up all those years ago by Claire’s father. Claire and Cade’s characters are fully developed and come to life right off the pages. Even after all those years the chemistry is still very strong between them. The emotions are full and vibrant. You can’t help but get sucked into the story right from the beginning. While as a reader, I would have liked to have read more information on the supporting characters, Claire and Cade’s characters more than made up for it.

Forbidden is a well written story of two lost loves being reunited and fighting for that love. The plot is fully developed and is realistic. The love scenes are plentiful and full of fire. Caution: you may overheat just by reading this book.
