| Becca Harms is engaged to a man that she does not love. He wants a condo; she wants a home with children and a tree house. When she is left aboard her parent’s yacht her mother sends someone to accompany her on the rest of the voyage home. Becca had no idea the man she tried to drown would be the one that would make her experience real love.
Mark (Lucky) Lucken is footloose and fancy-free. He has lost much in his life and now only wants to be alone. When he is sent to share a yacht with a beauty for three long weeks, in the middle of the Pacific, he has no idea that the confinement with one little gal could prove so stimulating. He has to hurry and get off the yacht and back to civilization and put her completely out of his mind. Unfortunately it is too late since she has wormed her way under his skin. FOOTLOOSE is an incredible read. The characters are truly believable in any given situation. When Lucky expressed to Becca what happened to his first family, you could practically feel the trepidation in his voice and see it on his face. The realization of the life that Becca had with her family was well noted in the book and brought many things to surface. When the squall approached and Becca realized this time she would not be alone in the storm since Lucky was nearby, my heart leaped. Ms. Hunter’s style of writing draws in the reader with her quick, witty dialogue between the characters from the first time they meet to the conclusion. I was spellbound after Lucky boarded the boat and faced off with Becca. Ms. Hunter knows how to draw in the reader and hook them from page one. The ending will grip you with so much emotion that you will be on the edge of your seat waiting the dramatic conclusion.
