| Steve Sheldon moved into a condo next door to Gracie Terrence two years ago. Each liked the way the other looked, but they were certainly opposites. Steve was a firefighter; it was his life! Steve’s friends loved to hang out at his condo; the music was loud, the beer was abundant and Gracie was upset! She had term papers to grade and she could not concentrate with so much noise. When she pulled into her parking space and heard the noise, she expected to have a problem. However, Steve was sitting outside, in the cold, in a lawn chair waiting for Gracie to get home. When she left her car, Steve met her and helped her into her condo. After finding out that he was no longer engaged, Gracie was interested, but only in a short-term coupling. No way was she getting involved with someone who had a “hero” job; she didn’t want to be involved with someone and then lose him because he chose to work in a job which put his life on the line every day! Ms. Keaton has written an intense, passionate love story with more than one “accident.” Each time something happens, the obsession escalates. The author shows incredible ability to share a storyline that demonstrates the couple’s consuming passion in a very explicit way that does not detract from the emotions they share. This is a wonderful story which I recommend highly!
