| Although she wasn't very pleased when her boss pulled her off a very
important story that she was just days away from breaking; Meredythe
Welsh's fury soon turned into joy once she realized that if she
cracked this new story it would do wonders for her career as a
investigate reporter. It seemed that a serial killer, who used a wolf
or wolf-dog, was on the loose and Meredythe was determined to identify
the crazed madman. Hot on his trail, Meredythe tried to obtain the
expertise of Dr. Bleddyn Glyndwr; but she gained more than she
bargained for. Instead of her main focus remaining on her hunt for
the serial killer; all she could think about was fighting her strong
attraction to Bleddyn.
For many centuries werewolf Bleddyn Glyndwr had been cheated out of the love form his mate, Meredythe – the only woman who can put a stop to the dark bloodlust that run through his veins. Each time when Bleddyn was about to claim Meredythe's love, something bad occurred that forced her to be given to flames so she could be born again sometime in the far away future. Not willing to lose her this time and more importantly, before he totally lost control over his bloodlust Bleddyn was strong-minded about joining with Meredythe in a private mating ceremony before their deadly old nemesis could cause havoc once again. Fires of Solstice was a story about a relationship that was never meant to be. For centuries the time never seemed to be right for Bleddyn and Meredythe to unite as a couple - until now. Bleddyn was determined to end his life long suffering without his mate by following a well thought out plan that was put into motion long ago in order to deter an old enemy. From the first moment they met in this present time sparks flew between Bleddyn and Meredythe. And, although there was countless lustful foreplay action between them; the actual sexual encounters were few and for between. Which left me very frustrated because after all they went through I wanted to connect as a couple in the most intimate way possible. However, all were forgiven when Bleddyn and Meredythe finally did mate because after all was said and do – it was the right time for them. Overall, Fires of Solstice was a fascinating story that I enjoyed reading.
