Everything about Fiona Sutton breathes Celtic, down to her heritage and name. The beautiful young woman prepares to attend the upcoming Saline Festival that is one of the largest of the Celtic festivals. Unfortunately, a car accident changes the course of Fiona’s life and transports her to a different place and time. After being found unconscious, some good Samaritans take her to their home where she begins a discovery of the early days of ancient China where some warriors were barbaric. As Fiona is spun into a different time, she finds a confidant in Kellach. Not only is Kellach a warrior but he is rather good-looking. By using his Ruan, an instrument, he does what it takes to win over Fiona. The Celtic heritage has a way of drawing the two lovers together, but their short-lived romance is soon threatened when Fiona is hurled back to the present. No matter how she tries to tell her parents of her journey, they think it is the shock of the accident. Fiona refuses to believe it wasn’t real. She and Kellach were married and no matter what it takes, she will fight every obstacle to find a way to cross time and be with her love again.

Fiona is a story that generates so much enthusiasm and delight that one feels like they have joined in on her journey. The love that unfolds is so lovely it transcends through the ages. P.L. Parker designs well-rounded characters that are believable in all their expressions and ways. One cannot help but be swept away right beside Fiona as she connects with Kellach. Both characters are extraordinary, and the different time periods, and standards of living, engage the reader, holding tightly until the last page. This wonderful romantic read is stylish and loaded in historical data that tops the charts.
