Lea and her two friends run Wives-R-Us, a service in which single men who need help organizing their lives or entertaining clients or friends hire the three women to assist them. None of the three women had any marketable skills other than being wives and when they divorced they decided to capitalize on that talent. Mike Andrews, aka Dr. Mike of Ask Dr. Mike fame is a well known columnist and marriage counselor with a book in the works. What the public does not know is that the doctor is a divorced man with twin children. His wife left him over a year ago for someone she met on the internet. He needs to maintain the image that he is happily married and that is where Lea comes in. He needs her to pose as his wife, not just cater the business dinner. The spark of attraction that they both feel could either help or hinder things.

I really enjoyed this romance. It is well written and the characters are very real. Lea is a woman who was totally surprised by her husband’s divorce demand and is very insecure about herself. She covers this up by being a perfectionist with herself and her assignments. She had wanted children but her husband did not. Mike’s twins are way more than she bargained for, but she adapts admirably. Mike is very attracted to Lea from the beginning and likes the idea of her as his wife pretty early on if all of his hints are to be believed. He is not perfect; he is stubborn and set in his ways, but really makes an effort for Lea. I really enjoyed reading about the development in their relationship and the funny mishaps along the way.
