Victoria Bredehorst is a victim of abuse from her modern day husband. When his last blow kills her, she wakes to find her soul has been switched by the gods of Ancient Egypt. She has been transported back into time only to find herself sharing the body of Mayati, the wife of Khaemhat, one of the priests of Osiris. Khaemhat is tender and nothing like her abusive husband, Neil. Khaemhat is everything her husband was not.

Khaemhat is full of power and charm. He is surprised when after seeing his wife die in childbirth, her soul has departed yet her body has been occupied by another woman. A woman that intrigues him completely. Can they find something together to last throughout times?

Egyptian Nights is a story that gives thought. If given a second chance in life to be free of an abusive husband and find love with another, would it be worth the risk? Victoria believes so when she is taken back years into another life, another body. Yet she still manages to hear the painful words of her ruthless husband, Neil. Ms. Mueller has taken the story of a woman with no love in her marriage or any fulfilling relationship and mastered a captivating story that draws you in to a woman fighting to find peace in life. She has created a play of emotions in Victoria’s heart that allows you to feel the pain that stabs her almost everyday.

Ms. Mueller allows us to feel the emotional scars of a battered wife who seeks to find love with someone yet is afraid to open her heart because of her brutal husband. An intriguing story that is very well written that will take you through a young woman’s mind who only wants one thing – happiness instead of being someone’s punching bag. The clincher that touched me was when Victoria examined the rewarding smile on Khaemhat’s face and knew she would be at peace if she could only stay there. Ms. Mueller has written a story that will not only charm the soul but also warm the heart.
