Greed rules the life of George Schaeffer. He’s willing to send his stepsister across country by stage knowing that the men he’s hired will kill her. Her father left everything he owned to her and George wants it at any cost. Luckily for Willow the Blackfoot son of a chief who has nursed her to health is unwilling to call down the wrath of the white men on his tribe. Instead he calls on his blood brother Garrison York to take the woman with amnesia off his hands and help her find her family.

Bobbie Russell has crafted an excellent cast of characters for this book. The greed, selfishness, hunger for power and evil of people like Belinda Herrington and her father, George Schaeffer and the ranch hand Luke show some of the worst people of the times. Craig Sinclair, Simon O’Neil, Thunder Bow, Whiskey and RJ show some of the best of honorable men who helped build the land. There are many others like Little Fists, neighbors and townspeople that greatly enhance the story.

The verbal sparring between characters, especially Garrison’s and Willow’s stubborn word battles keep the story fun. There’s plenty of realistic scenarios depicting ranch life, the hardships and joys of the time and the villainy of the bad guys and gals. The author weaves a superb story of the early settlers of Montana with a great erotic romance.
