| Tobias works as a huge animal veterinarian and Noah a police officer and both have signed a six-month contract binding them together in a more tangible power exchange. They are trying to test the boundaries of their relationship to a higher level. Tobias is trying to be a master to Noah, while learning to deal with some painful fears as well as dark secrets. The Dom, Tobias’s mentor, tells him that often one must be cruel to be kind in a situation. He explains that while Noah may be experiencing well with the sex and whips, emotionally he is behind. Tobias knows Noah is a good sub, doing everything Tobias asks of him and he feels Noah is a better sub than he is a dom. Even after making mistakes, Noah learns from them and makes everything right. No matter how much enjoyment and pleasure Tobias and Noah get out of their growing relationship, there are demons, in their past, they must face to make their life more meaningful, and if Tobias expects things to work for both of them, he feels he must first help Noah no matter how difficult the pain.
Deviations: Domination is a compelling romance between Tobias and Noah. The characters are strong in their actions and their passion. The well-written tale works like a magnet to draw in the audience and keep them glued until the conclusion. With a well blend of secondary characters, and an old love, this tale of doms and subs springs forth an interesting read while showing full-blown sensations that explore a wide range of emotions. Chris Owen and Jodi Payne pen a riveting read that is a page-turner. The enticing plot is terrific as it shows forms of exhibiting fear, to reaching into the inner soul and learning how to let go and trust.
