Martin may be submissive in the bedroom, but he refuses to have his lover run roughshod over him. When Martin finds out his boyfriend is married, he promptly tells him to hit the road. A month later, Martin is still having trouble getting over the breakup. When his friend invites him to his home to housesit, he jumps on the chance thinking it may be just the thing to help him get over his ex.

Taking his friends boat out on the water, Martin enjoys the company of two dolphins. He’s grateful for their presence when he’s caught in a sudden storm and his two new friends tow him to the safety of a nearby cave. What he didn’t expect was that they would expect a showing of his gratitude or that they wouldn’t be in the shape of dolphins when they asked…

When his two dolphin friends approached him as two hunky human men, Martin is convinced that he’s hallucinating from a concussion. These were the men of his dreams, dominant with a care for his needs and desires. Two men stood before him that desperately wanted a sub that would be with them for more than a one-night stand. Will Martin be able to handle obeying two men that are only occasionally men and that have quite a few other problems of their own?

Dolphin Dreams is a highly original and exquisitely told story of love and trust like I’ve never read before. Martin has been hurt in the past. His vulnerability and insecurities lend a sense of realism in an entirely fictional setting. Although I’m a female, even I could relate to the difficulties he faced when confronting the prospect of taking on two partners after a failed relationship. Jules Jones faces the hardships of this type of relationship head on. None of the problems a three-way relationship can have are sugar coated or glossed over, but instead they are dealt with as a normal couple would; with communication, understanding, and a good helping of make-up sex. Didn’t think I’d forget that, did ya? I don’t think there’s anything hotter than m/m sex, except maybe m/m/m sex, that is. While I felt like their first sexual encounter was a bit rushed, they all quickly fall into the “getting to know you” pattern that most couples face. Their subsequent rounds of love making range from hot, hard, and heavy to sweet and oh so tender. While I enjoyed every minute I spent reading this novel, I hope that the author has a few more Dolphin Dreams up her sleeve.
