| Sheri has a lot of challenges to overcome. She suffers from albinism and is legally blind. An abusive werewolf boyfriend caused her injuries that were only healed by changing her to a Puma by her best friend Max, now alpha of the Halle Pride. That ex has been chasing her ever since; her Seeing Eye dog Jerry and Sheri have been on the move for years. She has finally decided to try to make a home for herself in Halle and Max and Simon and their mates are determined to keep her safe. Max¢s partner in his medical practice, Dr. Adrian Giordano realizes that she is his mate immediately; he also realizes that she won¢t accept him for fear of causing him harm. Her ex soon makes an appearance and Max asks the help of the local wolf pack, which could work either for or against them.
I just love this series, and the thought of a were puma with a seeing eye dog illustrates the author¢s quirky sense of humor that always comes out in the midst of these suspenseful love stories. She has let Belinda¢s character change and grow throughout the series and I am glad to see more of her as well as Emma and Becky who were the heroines of the first two stories. The villain is really scary, as is the werewolf alpha Richard, but Richard is more than that scary exterior and I hope to see more of him soon. Sheri is a wonderful heroine with an unusual condition, but still very attractive, especially to Adrian. Adrian surprises himself and the reader with his new position in the pack. I always liked his character and the author really created a good hero here. The combination of hot love scenes, edge of the seat suspense, and humor make this series a must read one for me.
