| Addy's life is going just fine. She has a flower shop, a great dog and she has mostly managed to stay out of the family business, Corwin funeral home. She really doesn't like dead people. Then one stormy night while out on a run, her dog leads her off into a cluster of trees and things get more interesting. The trees have changed, a demon or two appears and tries to kill her, and a really hot dude who says he is a demon hunter arrives in a beam of light to save her. He follows her home like any good demon hunter would and Addy's world starts getting stranger by the minute.
I chose this book because it looked like fun. It is. The author finds humor not only in the outrageous situations, but in what should be everyday events. You can't go more than a paragraph or two without something to smile about. The story flows well, going from one incident to the next with no bumps in the road. All the characters are well written, with well fleshed out personalities. Not only Addy and Brand, but all the secondary characters as well. They all have lives and real personalties. A few of those personalities do a 180 during the story but that's just part of the fun. The relationship between the two main characters starts fast and grows even faster. The sex is steamy, frequent and fun. This story has disappearing bodies, zombies, demons, hot demon hunters, lopped off heads (and other body parts) and great sex. What more could a girl want? The story gives off a feeling of barely leashed craziness and a lot of fun. The end is dramatic and fun at the same time. The end of this story leaves things open for a sequel. If there is one I'll read it in a heartbeat.
