Dane Harley had two reasons to attend her 10-year high school reunionher (then) best friend, Roxy Jordan, and her one-true-love, John Stratton. After escaping from the hell of her foster-child background, Dane had disappeared from her home town; she got her life straightened out and now worked with foster children. Her life had come full circle, if she could just deal with her feelings for John.

It seemed that Dane constantly got into trouble and, since she and John were always together, his family blamed her because he would also get into trouble. Dane had never quit loving John; however, when she met a very pregnant Janine, she knew John had moved on without her. She showed up at John’s house while he was traveling with his job; Janine told her how much John had talked about her and she knew he would be thrilled to know she was back! The problem became sex…every time they saw each other, and then ended up making love.

Ms. Cassidy Kent has done an excellent job of taking this distinctive plot and giving us a wonderful rendition of love ten years later! The characters are strong, even though their communication skills are sadly lacking! Like me, I believe the reader will sense the couple’s frustration with how much they misread each other. Ms. Kent used the misunderstanding between them to build their tension. The outcome, while unexpected, will surprise everyone. This is an excellent choice for a quick, lighthearted read!
