| Fanny Broadmoor has been in love with Michael Atwell for as long as she can remember. Michael loved her deeply and wishes her to be his wife but even growing up theirs was a friendship not to be, according to social standings. Fanny is left with only her Uncle Jonas after the death of her grandparents, who believes he should be the one to find her the right husband to marry. If Uncle Jonas is in control, he will have power over her inheritance but he must find her a husband before she turns eighteen. No way will he allow Michael to come anywhere near Fanny. He doesn’t like the fact that Fanny was left any of the inheritance. Fanny learns that the wealthy can make decisions that affect the life of the poor. When she is married she will be scrutinized and watched, no matter how much money she acquires. Uncle Jonas can be cruel, and she refuses to be controlled. No matter what it takes, she will find a way to be with Michael.
A Daughter’s Inheritance is an excellent read. I love the characters of Fanny and Michael. The romance that spins in this tale is beautiful. The intrusion of Uncle Jonas, who even made my blood boil, made this story even more compelling. Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller weave a magnificent story of romance, love, jealously and hatred that kept this reader glued. They sketch in-depth characters and well-rounded secondary players that make the read strong. I love the perseverance of Fanny. The ending left me breathless. The suspense that builds in this drama is splendid. The wide-range of emotions is powerful. I am patiently waiting for the next installment in this Broadmoor Series. Kudos to two authors that spin an outstanding tale!
