Angelique Sterling has been blind since birth. Living with a strong group of helpers, she makes her living by editing using a special computer program. After nights of horrific dreams, Angelique is summoned by a phone call from her aunt telling her that her twin sister, Electra, is missing. Annoyed, but concerned, Angelique makes arrangements and flies to Florida to find her errant sister. In Florida, at the bar where Electra made her living by reading Tarot cards, Angelique meets Nicholas Von Buren and danger.

Dark Hope was an interesting spin on vampires and the paranormal. Ms. Calloway told her story with beautiful words and images. Nicholas, a vampire, and Angelique bind together to fight an old evil. Throughout their search for Electra, their interest in each other begins to inspire a love and some erotic moments together. The main and secondary characters are quite well-written, with back stories written right into the plot. I did have a bit of difficulty following the pace of the book at the beginning, but I soon overcame that. The twists and turns were fascinating and I greatly enjoyed the plot twists involving Electra. This book had a great deal of magic and paranormal aspects that made it fun to read.
