| Jaden is all by herself on her thirty first birthday and does something that she has never done before, she gets picked up by a handsome but anonymous stranger. It is the most exciting experience of her life until the man drops dead. She manages to put it behind her until a crazy man threatens to kill her because she looked at his I phone. She calls the police and one of the detectives on the scene is her dead man's twin brother Cole. He is determined to blame her for his brother's untimely death. There is however, much more to his death than either one of them dreams and Jaden's life is now in jeopardy as well as the Mardi Gras revelers of New Orleans. Terrorists are about to attack.
The plot of this story starts out with a bang and the excitement does not end until the very exciting climax. Cole and Jaden are destined to be together if Cole can only get past his brother's death and his own lost love. Cole can be very hard to like in the beginning. I felt sorry that he lost his brother, but his treatment of Jaden is totally unprofessional and uncalled for. I admired Jaden's restraint. For a woman scared half out of her mind by both the people threatening her and the police detective supposed to be protecting her, she is very self possessed and reserved, she even sympathizes with the undeserving Cole. She gives him the benefit of the doubt that he denies her. I really enjoyed reading about his change of opinion about her. The terrorists were pretty scary and there are some torture scenes that may be too violent for some readers Their plans are absolutely horrifying and you will be on the edge of your seat until the very end of the story.
