| Olivia Davis just wants what every woman wants. A man who loves her and wants to settle down and make a life with her. Why, then, is she faced with so many frogs instead of Prince Charming? When her latest boyfriend cheats on her, Liv knows it is time to take action. She can’t keep dating losers.
Marc Chase has had his eye on Liv for a long time. First as his brother’s girlfriend, then as just a friend. But now he wants to get to know Liv the woman. His lust for her knows no bounds but for this love ‘em and leave ‘em guy, can he make a commitment? Liv doesn’t think so. Not only is he six years younger than her, but he’s played the field way too long. Liv wants a man who is ready to settle down. Marc wants to be that man. He is ready to be that man. Now he just has to prove that to Liv, and hopefully, she’ll put her heart on the line too. But should Liv put her trust in a reformed ladies man? Chased is the third story in Lauren Dane’s Chase Brothers series. It’s another family-centric and loving story. Ms. Dane definitely succeeded in moving Marc beyond the flirtatious and somewhat superficial persona that has previously defined him in the other stories. Here, he shines as a caring and considerate lover, a professional business owner, a good friend, and a genuine man. Liv likewise is an interesting character. She’s been burned by so many men she’s very wary of giving her heart, with good reason. At the same time, she has so much love to give. Marc tenderly, sensually and romantically shows her all the ways that falling in love can be a decadent experience. This has been a terrific series thus far and Chased adds another great layer of family drama and humor. Lauren Dane definitely stands out in contemporary romance as a shining star.
