| Charity Smith and her 15-year-old brother Kirk were living on a shoestring. She worked for The Sunset News but was trying to work into a full-time reporter’s position. The money would go far to help Kirk with his problems. He had anger problems since the death of their parents. Charity needed the extra money and she needed to obtain her permanence at the news’ office. Her boss gave her an ultimatum—she must interview Ryan Foster for the Sunday issue.
Ryan Foster was a self-made billionaire. He built a computer business and had the number one computer game. He was almost paranoid about his privacy and absolutely hated reporters. He had sworn off women. His previous girlfriend had cheated with his best friend. She only wanted Ryan’s money. He was so private that people didn’t even know what he looked like. Ms. Sara Fitzgerald has done a great job of using her sub characters as a building block for the main couple. Charity’s brother and Ryan’s brother and Dad, in addition to her best friend at the newspaper office, all worked to bring the two together. It was surprising how their relationship developed. Fitzgerald brought several differing goals to bear in cultivating the rocky progress of couple hood. I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. She brought various actions, both good and bad, into the build-up of their relationship. I enjoyed the sensuality of the book. It was highly emotional even without sexual activity. I recommend this book highly.
