Lady Margaret and Lord Roland appear to be from opposite sides of the world in the beginning of this story. Lord Roland is shown as a unclean, rude warrior just out to enjoy the physical aspects of the marriage bed. Lady Margaret is seen as a quiet, mousy woman very leary of this man she has been made to marry. As the story unfolds these two characters learn many surprising things about each other. This story captures your attention quickly and the writing is done well. Readers will love this scorching story.

Dance of the Plain Jane by Lillian Feisty
Jane Holliday has secretly been in love with Navy SEAL Michael Sky for over a year. When Michael comes to the restaurant Jane works at as a belly dancer, Jane takes advantage of the situation letting loose her inhibitions and seducing him with her body. Michael feels a strong connection the minute the dancer picks him out to use her magic on. Unable to control himself, Michael lets himself fall for Jane only to run out on her after she tells him how much she desires him. Jane feels Michaels rejection and loses trust in his promise to come back to her. Michael wants Jane to understand how much he loves her and the chance to explain why he ran out on her.

This is a very romantic, steamy read. Jane's love for Michael is felt from the beginning of the story. Michael's instant attraction adds to the sexiness of these two characters. As the story unfolds, trust is a major issue presented on both their sides. Michael must do his best to convince Jane that he doesn't mean to run out on her and he wants a future together. Jane's hesitation is understandable after Michael leaves her so abruptly. This is a great, lively read laced with steamy romps throughout.

Club Vamp by Allyson James
Master vampire Kenelm needs Helena Girard to restore his power. Once he spots her on the tv, he sends his lover, Adam Chase, to get her. Helena is taken with Adam and allows him to bring her back to Kenelm. Despite finding herself attracted to both men, Helena knows she can't be with either one because of the deadly electric pulses her body gives off when she orgasms. In the past she has scared many a man off because of this. Kenelm and Adam must convince Helena that she is a part of their future, electricity and all. Kenelm knows of a way to defuse the electric pulses given off by Helena, but she must be willing to take the crucial first step in trusting both him and Adam. Time is of the essence as Kenelm and Adam tell Helena about her true heritage and why they must all unite in order to save the future.

James's tale of a vampire's search for the perfect woman to continue his existance is a hot, steamy one! It pulls you in with wanting to know the history behind Kenelm's existance and how the second male character, Adam, came into his life. Helena's longing for a relationship without compromising the man involved is a nice twist to this tale. The attraction between all three adds to the heat of this rich story. Adding a bit of otherworldly intrigue keeps the pages turning. Well done!

Choosing Madison by Sherrill Quinn
Gaelen Brecca has the unfortunate job of hunting down his world leader's fiancee, Julie Grant. What he and his bond-brother, Leax, don't count on finding is their mate in the form of Madison Marquette. Madison is shocked to discover her new friend is an alien princess. More than ready for an adventure, Madison decides to accompany Julie back to her planet to attend the wedding. Little does Madison know that Gaelen and Leax are ready to have more than just a temporary fling.

Anyone who likes a quick, hot read will like this story. Madison, Gaelen and Leax are richly described and the sexual tension adds to the dynamics of this short read. Convincing Madison that she can have both worlds is a job Gaelen and Leax are cut out for. The science fiction aspects of the story don't overwhelm the romantic side of it, but add to the reality of the situation. This erotic romp on the futuristic side is done very nicely.

Come Howling by Denise Rossetti
Maeve O'Brien is tired of being a banshee. She cannot enjoy a normal relationship and is lonely all the time. In search of a new career, Maeve visits an employment office. Luc Kaminski cannot believe his luck when Maeve comes through the door of the office he is looking after for his brother. Luc himself is no ordinary man. Having demonic qualities of his own, Luc just might be the man who is able to help Maeve live up to her full banshee self. Weary of Luc's help, Maeve holds back as he tries to coax the real woman out of her. Luc and Maeve have been tested by the past and in order to have a future must both risk getting hurt.

Rossetti creates two touching characters in this compelling story. Maeve and Luc go well together, although the hesitation on Maeve's part is understandable. Especially considering her prior experiences with love and in other areas of her life. The issues of trust, love and secrets are all brought into play by both Maeve and Luc. Luc's condition isn't much better than Maeve's and he has a strong fear of chasing her off. The passion and erotic scenes between Maeve and Luc is felt right from the start. Anyone looking for an uplifting, sexy story will enjoy this one very much.

Vampires, aliens, banshee's and more are featured in this wonderful anthology of stories. All offer a different element of suspense and surprise. Rich characters and sexy action make for a novel of delightful fantasies. These six stories have something for everyone and are well written. This is a fast-moving, intense book for anyone looking for a quick, spicy read.
