| Lilly Wyatt never could have imagined that when she left the safe haven of her home in Georgia that she would encounter wild cougars on the streets of New York City. Just as Lilly was about to be attacked by the cougars, a black panther jumped in to save her. Not about to wait around in the alley to see which cat would win the fight, Lilly managed to escape to the safety of her apartment building. But, that wasn't the only shocker Lilly received that night. Tom Black, the tall, mahogany, handsome man whom she had been lusty after for the past four months came clean about his secret life -- his ability to shapeshift into a panther.
Trouble was stirring in shapeshifter Tom Black's territory. A group of rogue cougars was causing major havoc because their leader blamed Tom for his brother's unfortunate death. So far, their incidents had only occurred within the shapeshifting community. That was until the cougars decided to attack an innocent human by the name of Lilly Wyatt -- the woman whom Tom had been secretly admiring from afar. Now, the time had come for Tom to take control over the cougars' unruly nature and his desire to claim Lilly, a pallid human, as his own woman. Cat Scratch Fever was smoking hot! The opening scene started out with a bang and the plot's intensity never let up for one moment. Whether it was the constant dangerous threat from the cougars or the undeniable desire that sparked between Lilly and Tom, there was never a dull moment to be founded in Cat Scratch Fever. I practically remained perched on the edge of my seat filled with excitement throughout the entire book. The chemistry showcased between Lilly and Tom was electrifying. Both hesitated moving forth with a relationship -- Lilly mainly due to the fact that they had different ethnic backgrounds and Tom because of his shapeshifting abilities and because Lilly was a human. Yet their passion could not be denied and it wasn't long before desire took over and the couple united in a blazing hot sexual manner. Filled with steamy sex, frustration and anguish, Cat Scratch Fever was a real winner!
