What Shay doesn't know is that Mikhail has the same dreams as she. While he's familiar with the experience that's common among his kind, a joint Maerd Noisi dream vision, he has no idea why he's having them with Shay. She's a human and he's a different kind from somewhere else, on Earth for a vital mission. Needless to say, Shay is proving to be quite a distraction for him in his quest. But then things aren't quite what they seem...

I initially didn't expect to enjoy this short work from a new author to me. The beginning offered a familiar plot device and there was a lot going on for a short story. I understood the necessity of the detail and explanation because it's the announced opening of a new series but I found I really had to concentrate to follow it. That being said, the author's writing style is appealing, her dialogue quite good, and she did develop a very strong, clever story. The sensual scenes didn't dominate the story I'm happy to say and they were also well written and satisfyingly erotic in nature. All in all, a good read and one that will have me watching for the next installment of The Immortal Blossom series.
