| Hazel Young is at her wits end with her first mating close. The men are literally beating down her door, determined to show this young, single and practically untried female they are man or in this case werewolf enough to take her. Hazel has no desire for other men since she gave her heart to Oliver Russell years ago -- even if he has no feelings for her. Determined to quiet the beast inside her, Hazel picks a man never realizing that only Oliver can satisfy both woman and beast and end her mating frenzy. When Oliver finds Hazel disheveled outside of town, his protective desires are awakened and what follows is a wild ride of mating fever at its hottest. But what started out as a need for help has turned into a need for something more permanent. Is it too late for Oliver to realize his future happiness rides on his little temptress? Or is he destined to deny all that could be his?
Book two in the Down & Dirty series again proves that the writing team of Moira Rogers has what it takes to create and maintain a high level of sensuality and fire between the characters. It offers an engaging and exhilarating plot highlighted by imaginative play, detailed descriptions of a different world, all this while still keeping the reader firmly engaged in this delightfully wonderful tale. The mating desires between Oliver and Hazel push the boundaries to create a sexual frenzy of raw and rowdy sexual passions, yet with a touch of tenderness that can't be denied. The characters. primary and secondary, are enchanting within the Lonely River Pack. This is a wonderful paranormal tale that should come with a warning label reading, "warning read at your own risk, this book will hold you hostage with delightful thrills." Although this book can be read as a standalone story, it is recommended that the reader start with book one in the series, Down & Dirty: Wild Card where the author first introduces the reader to Hazel and Oliver and starts their story in motion. I can't wait, I am highly anticipating book three in this entertaining series!
