| Ms. Jo Ann Carter has done an exceptional job of expressing how even a Christian can get off-track with her value system and, actually, be wrong in thinking she is living for God when she is harboring an unforgiving spirit. Sarah worked as a police dispatcher; her best friend was employed by the local hotel as head of housekeeping. Neither has a boyfriend; Sarah was convinced she would never date anyone more than once because she did not trust men! Her father was an alcoholic and she just could not forgive him; Ellen, her best friend for years, also had parental issues.
And then…along came two policemen from another township, to study at their offices. Second Lieutenant Dylan Eldredge took one look at Sarah and knew she was the one! His coworker, Officer Matthew Briggs, was skeptical, to say the least! They made a bet between the two of them because Dylan said that ‘if Sarah was a Christian, he would have a ring on her finger within a year. If so, Matt would have to work all his mandatory overtime for three months and take care of Dylan’s dog while they were on their honeymoon. Of course Matt accepted the bet; Dylan had not even met her! This fast-paced read is wonderfully written and presents a dreamy love story! The actions and characters truly project a love of God; it also quotes enough scripture for the book to be life-changing! I loved, and recommend highly, this amazing book!
