| Detective Leslie Bolt is a gun toting, Harley riding, bundle of contradictions. Forced to work with her former lover, Lance Kestler, to solve the "State Quarter" murders, Leslie is anxious to solve this case and get back to working alone, they way she likes it. And then there is the sexy new medical examiner, Dr. Jack Donington who seems to want to spend more time with Leslie too… But when Leslie's twin sister goes missing, she will have to move fast to catch this killer before her sister becomes the next potential victim...
Bolt Action is a good, suspenseful mystery with a wonderful plot twist near the end! I liked the character of Leslie; she is smart, tough, and determined. Unfortunately for Leslie she hasn't made good choices in the past with the men in her life, can she finally get it right this time? With too many men and too little time for a real quality relationship while she is trying to catch the "State Quarter" killer, Leslie needs a break. And then Leslie's sister turns up and it would be hard to find a set of twins more different but when she goes missing, Leslie intends to find her before it is too late. If you like smart yet tough women lead characters, stressful situations, and plenty of action then you will enjoy Bolt Action.
