| Miserable and well on her way to being very drunk, Hannah is ready to leave the nightclub she'd attended with her friend April. But when the gorgeous man she'd noticed, and had been caught ogling, asks her to dance, she's shocked. Having spent a fantastic night with the Ryo, she'd crept out of their hotel room before he woke because of her insecurities, believing she'd never see him again. Imagine her surprise when he's at the same meeting she's been asked to attend as interpreter for the CEO of the Japanese corporation she works for.
Waking and finding Hannah gone, Ryo is more than a bit disappointed. Not just because the sex had been fantastic, but because she appealed to him on many levels and he'd wanted to get to know her. Unable to let her just disappear, he contacts his resources to find out where she worked and lived. He's surprised when he catches a brief glimpse of her entering the same building he is and even more so when she's at the same meeting. The surprise continues when he corners her after the meaning and demands an explanation. But nothing is straight forward in this exciting and exhilarating futuristic novel. Hannah mistakenly receives a file to interpret but within the documents is something that will have her running for her life and putting her trust in Ryo. Blues is a multi-faceted, futuristic action-thriller with twists and turns when you least expect it. While Hannah is insecure about her ability to appeal to men, she's brave and doesn't whimper at the first sign of adversity. Ryo is an ideal hero, strong and compassionate, who praises Hannah in such away that it builds her confidence. Dreamy, both characters had me all misty-eyed at times and the love scenes are hot, highly erotic, and sexy without being over done. The action scenes are tight, fast, and held me on the edge of my seat. They were so well written that is was like watching an action movie. I sincerely recommend Blues as a must read.
