| Kat Feldman was a city girl at heart. When she is sent on a buying expedition in Africa she never expected to be roughing it. Screeching monkeys outside her hotel, hundred degree weather without air conditioning, spiders, and geckos in her room and a tour guide that makes her go weak in the knees are just a few things that have her worried. But she is determined to prove she is tougher than she looks.
Jackson Roark is responsible for taking tourist on a tour of African wildlife and culture. When he sees the woman in high heel and tight short skirt he knew he would be the one in for an adventure by just trying to keep her out of trouble. Beneath a Blazing Sun by J.A. Clarke is a very sensual romance involving two compelling characters on an adventure into the wilds of Africa. Kat is a city girl trying her best. She is tender hearted and very easily embarrassed, but that does not have her giving up when things go wrong. In many ways she is braver and a lot stronger than she is perceived. Jackson Roark is use to the African conditions. What he is not used to is a desirable action prone blond and the trouble she always seems to find. He is finding it difficult to keep his respectable reputation by not getting involved with a client. They butt heads on several occasions as they try to avoid the chemistry between them. When they finally give into the passion the scenes smoke with all the heat these two give off. Very sensual, these scenes are described as an all- consuming passion where the two characters lose themselves in each other. Emotions run high as mistakes lead to misunderstandings. I found the story highly creative and very romantic. Beneath a Blazing Sun is a fascinating adventure and romance with a creative storyline.
