Daniella was 26 years old and a size 18. She worked as a secretary for the company of Beckman & Sons, Inc. Harrison Beckman was the “son” who also worked at the company and he was intimidating to the low-self-esteemed Dani. He was gorgeous, but she held no lofty ideas that she would ever be taken seriously by an attractive man.

Jillian, Mr. Beckman’s secretary and Dani’s friend, was pregnant and unable to do some of the extra workload required. That is how Dani was recruited to work a special project with Harrison. It involved espionage and involvement in merging companies while trying to ascertain who was involved with the fact selling.

Ms. JoAnn Carter has written a well-developed, interesting story about the personal development of an insecure young woman and the daily walk with the Lord of a humble man. Her main characters are strongly written and interesting. This unique plot tells a story of the coming out of a woman whose entire life has been less than desirable. Ms. Carter has told this story in such a way that the main, as well as the supporting, characters are practically drawn in color for us to visualize. She has done a great job of conveying this storyline in such a way that it was absolutely impossible for me to put down.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It had all the necessary elements to grab my attention and keep it. The ending was a bit surprising which, once again, captured my interest. It’s a great book and one you will love to read.
