The Agency has had terrible luck in solving their latest case and shutting down a drug runner. In fact, all of Richard’s best agents have failed in some way and now the only thing Richard knows to do is to go undercover himself. Unfortunately, that will put him working with Sydney, his former lover. Sydney knows she messed up her last chance to be with Richard because she was afraid he wouldn’t want her if he knew what she really was but now she has grown up some and wants at least one more shot at getting Richard back. Can the couple put the past behind them? Can they finally solve this baffling case?

I’m disappointed in the forth story. I thought the third story was a bridge between the first two stories and this one, but this one still doesn’t live up to what I was expecting. I think the third and forth stories could have just been combined, neither seems to be quite complete. I still like the premise of the series and the first two books are very good. A little more time spent fleshing out these last two would have been appreciated. If you enjoyed the first two stories, it is still worth reading these last two because they tie up the lose ends and seem to bring the set to a conclusion. The books in this series do not stand completely alone and if you want the complete the whole story you need all four installments. This is hard to explain, but it isn’t that there isn’t any merit in this last book, but that it as if you are reading just the last chapter of a book. You really need to have the rest of the book for it all to work together. If all four installments were put together as one book, I’d be much happier.
