|With almost everyone else he knows pairing off and getting married, it makes Griff even more edgy to be attending this engagement party solo. At least that's what he's telling himself. Then, just when he needs i,t he gets the best type of distraction. Honor may be gifted when it comes to computers but at six feet tall and gorgeous, she can clean up well when she needs to, and right now she really needs to convince the security firm Midnight Inc. to help her. Griff is assigned to be Honor's bodyguard and neither one of them is complaining because of their mutual attraction. Close proximity soon has them engaging in a whirlwind affair. But as the two of them get closer, Honor has to decide if she's willing to put Griff in the path of the trouble that's following her.
A new book in the Bare Love series is always a good thing and Barely Breathing is no exception. Honor was just a great character to get to know, and her and her dad have an interesting dynamic to say the least. Then of course there are the sparks between her and Griff that lead to some great sex scenes. In fact, I have to admit that the sex is one of the things I really look forward to in Ms. Thorn's books.
It's always fun to see which of the characters that we've met throughout the series will be the next to fall, not to mention getting caught up with the other characters' lives. This time it was Griff's turn and I really enjoyed his story. Normally I'd say that these stories can be read on their own, but this time it's probably more enjoyable if you've read at least a few of the other seven books in the series.
