| Yates Colyer is one of the most sought-after photographers in the world, and a centuries-old vampire. His life has been a series of empty encounters, less and less satisfying until one day when he sees a photo of a beautiful young woman with lavender eyes. Kelly is an aspiring model, struggling at the moment. She is a panther shifter. Her big break arrives with a phone call from the famous Yates Colyer; his voice affects her strangely but she never dreamed that a dreaded vampire could be her mate. Vampires and shifters are enemies, so how could she be tied to someone who considers her an animal?
This is an intense and very erotic tale with fascinating and intense characters. The plot is quick moving with very hot love scenes and lots of action and suspense. The two main characters are from species who cordially hate each other, and Yates is pretty insensitive when he finds out that Kelly is a shifter; she is a lot more accepting of him. I loved her friend Jax and would like to know more about their relationship, the author hints at guilt and violence between the two of them in the past. Kelly and Yates go through some pretty interesting changes as a result of the mating. The only complaint that I have is that I wasn't ready for the story to end and am hoping for at least one sequel. No one writes about shifters and vampires like Ms. Roth and it is always hard to wait for another one.
