| How refreshing to find a book which delivered a beautiful romance in an atmosphere such that we could give it to our youth and not worry about what they might be reading. Ms. Wilhelmina Rush, a new author to me, did a great job of presenting a quick read with delightfully G-rated style.
Grace Canady owns Canady Lodge in Northern Wisconsin by the Lost Lake. She has no family left; anything that needs to be done concerning the lodge is her responsibility. She loves to interact with her patrons; however, she knows not to get involved because they always leave! Her twelve cabins stay booked in summer, but the winter proves her theory that everyone leaves when summer is over! Martin Winters (does anyone besides me see the correlation between this story and his last name?) is a journalist who needed some peace and quiet to relax. That’s how he ended up staying in Cabin #6. To past time, he played cards with a group in the main lodge—Grace was hard to beat! The supporting characters are so lifelike that it made me feel as if I was involved in the story. Even though the story was short, there were several compelling, poignant scenes which made an exceptional read which I wholeheartedly recommend. Kudos, Mr. Rush!
