| Once again, Samantha Lucas has shown us why she is such a fascinating marvel in her profession! With this latest manuscript, she allows us to follow the lives of two people, who are, technically, direct opposites, when in reality, they have more in common than they would ever believe. As a lover of Ms. Lucas’ work, I can honestly say that she has maintained the high standards she previously set with her release of Anything After Sunday!
Frannie, the youngest of six daughters, did not have much of a life thanks to an abusive ex-boyfriend. Even though she is extremely close to her family, no one knows what she went through years ago with Keith. West, a beautiful man who does not believe in forever, may have met his match when he saw this red-headed beauty. What was supposed to be a cruise as “nanny” to her sister’s children became a solo cruise when the chicken pox hit Debra’s kids the day before the trip. West, one of a trio of wealthy men who had been friends for years, talked Nick into the cruise which was to have been his honeymoon as a way for them to “pick up, hook up, and get out! Forever was not in West’s vocabulary; every woman he had loved left! As attracted to Frannie as he was, he refused to believe in anything beyond the end of the cruise. After a rocky start, the couple spent the last half of the cruise together, but what about afterwards? Would he stay? Could he stay? How could he walk away? Ms. Lucas truly brings out the best (and worse) in this couple who truly were meant to be together. How this story ends is a remarkably unexpected completion to this work of art! The sensual aspects of this story are certainly up to her unusually high standards, but are not the focus of this story. As we have become accustomed to expect, this book delivers the magic and thrills of true, soul-felt love with a twist. I, again, recommend her work highly; it is a guaranteed success!
