Psy is bored to tears being a wedding consultant. Matchmaking is really not her forte. It’s much more her super sexy husband’s style. She longs for some adventure to spice up her existence. But when Hermes brings a summons from Zeus demanding she report to Olympus she may get too much excitement. Soon Psy will be on the trail of a missing God. With the Cue’s protection she may avoid getting cursed by the gods, but still has her hands full. Her wacky secretary, wayward daughter, irrepressible sons, a lovesick bird, bitchy goddesses, Zeus’s favorite love slave and Cue all manage to drive her crazy. Psy will be wishing for her same old routine, especially if she keeps missing her wake up sex with Cue!

Jeigh Lynn’s characterization of one of the most romantic couples in mythology is in turn sassy, funny, tender, powerful, and sexy, very sexy. Cupid as a family man was a new spin for me but it worked! Psyche’s viewpoint was an entertaining way to reveal the idiosyncrasies and dangerous politics of the Gods. A lovesick pigeon? Ok that’s funny but even the pigeon develops a personality! And OH, I would so knock that bird into next week if it kept trying to attack me! So when Psy wonders if she could knock it all the way across the bathroom as it stalked her around the side of their tub, I literally laughed out loud. This is one of the reasons I so enjoyed this quirky story. I could relate to the characters and became immersed in the world Jeigh Lynn described. Of course it didn’t hurt that Psy was cradled in the arms of her hunky husband Cue in a luxurious tub. Yep, I can relate to that fantasy. The story moved right along, I didn’t want to put it down. The plot had entertaining twists that kept developments fresh and intriguing. The sexuality, ranging from intimately sensual to intense, was an integral part of this charming romantic comedy. And the characterizations of the Gods and Goddesses rang true enough to mythology that they were believable without overpowering Ms. Lynn’s fresh perspective. Adventures of the Soul pleasantly exceeded my expectations! I will highly anticipate future installments featuring Cue, Psy and the rest of the Olympians. Bravo Jeigh Lynn for an entertaining new flair on an old theme!
