| Clinging to the hope of someone or anyone coming to her rescue, Adrienne fought down the panic and hysteria which were overwhelming her. When Josh and his friend had ambushed her after she had left the safety of the school, she knew from their expressions that they were going to carryout whatever plans they had fr her. However, before the men could succeed with their plans, a man unlike anyone she had ever met before came to her rescue. He was Malik, the future King of Ulan, and he had come to rescue his Queen.
You will find this book highly intense and truly entertaining. The emotions portrayed by not only the main characters but also the many secondary ones, are ones you can relate too. The talking Black Panther is one of my favorite characters in this story, along with the others who make this story fascinating. At times, this book will make you laugh, but also shed a few tears when you find yourself becoming attached to the person Adrienne becomes when she discovers that they are more facets to her personality than she herself even knew. Malik, who has a strong personality and demands obedience from those who he rules over, will come to learn humility before Adrienne. However, his humility will make him not only a better person, but also someone whom you can admire many times throughout this book. The loving and sexual displays that Ms. Bagby introduces into the storyline are written with just the right touch and flare, making this book to flow and blend well with the many trials and adventures Adrienne will find herself facing. You will be hard pressed to put this book down even for a moment, as you will become so caught up in the magic, betrayals, danger and treachery that makes this book a definite keeper.
