Bethany Black is a well-known published author of erotic mysteries, thrillers, and children’s books. After losing everyone, Bethany shied away from love. But fate had other ideas when Bethany is given the wrong room and she wakes up to find a very sexy man in her bed. Bethany acts completely out of character and has mind-blowing sex with him. What ever possessed her? Embarrassed Riker would think she’s nothing more than a slut, Bethany quickly dresses and leaves unaware that she’s just been mated for life and already carries his twins.

Riker Montgomery is a famous actor. He’s also a werewolf and the Alpha of his pack. Riker wasn’t surprised to find a woman in his bed, but there was something different about this woman, even her smell drove him crazy. He realizes she is his mate and marks her as such. When he wakes to find her gone, Riker starts a long and exhausting search for her. One night of passion wasn’t enough. He had to find her. Neither Riker nor Bethany realizes that someone else wants to keep them apart.

When Bethany learns she’s going to have twins she contacts Riker. Only August Livingston, Riker’s lawyer and cousin, intercepts Bethany’s letters and plots to taker her and her babies to use against Riker. They were nothing but half-breeds, not worth living. No half-breed should be Alpha, only a pureblood like himself. But August did desire Bethany and intended to have her, one way or another.

I’ve been completely taken in by the Montgomery family. I loved the relationship between the characters. They’re passionate and protective of their families. This story is very sensual, with racism causing deceit and danger. It isn’t just a human trait anymore, as hatred over bloodlines put Bethany and her babies in danger. Fate brought Riker and Bethany together. Will a racist man bent on power keep them apart? There are several male characters in this book with strong personalities. Dr. Marc Fonteneas, Tavist Drake, and Yancey Livingston, just to name a few. I felt like I was reading about a family right next door, who just happens to turn into wolves. Wolves mate for life; with a need to protect those they love just as necessary as their next breath. I recommend this story highly and I can’t wait to get Family Harmony, coming out later this year, which contains Lakon’s story. Enjoy!
